Social Media Intern
Are you a creative, self-motivated student or recent grad looking to gain hands-on experience in nonprofit marketing and social media? Join us this summer as a Social Media Intern and help bring joy to children and families through storytelling and visuals.
About the Role
This unpaid, remote internship offers flexibility for students with summer jobs, travel plans, or other commitments. You’ll collaborate with a small, passionate team and build your portfolio while supporting a meaningful mission. We estimate that the commitment will be 3-5 hours/week but will work with you to accommodate your schedule.
We may select multiple interns with different interests and experience. For example, you don’t need TikTok experience, as we haven’t expanded to TikTok, but if there is an applicant who would love to implement this, we may select that intern for this purpose. This may reduce the number of hours required for each intern while allowing for collaboration and learning from each other. We typically post 4-5 days each week.
You’ll be creating content for our social media platforms, writing captions, brainstorming hashtags, and helping us share the heart of what we do with the world. One student intern led a beautiful rebranding in 2023, which we plan to keep in place (mainly colors) —each intern has built on that foundation, both expanding and adding creative touches. We welcome your creativity.
